This place was amazing. gorgeous scenery, fantastic lake, fun games and a hot tub! It is on an island and check in time is quite strict which would have been nice to know sooner but all in all a great trip and a fantastic stay. – 6/22/2025 

We had an unforgettable experience during our stay and look forward to returning next year. The island was beautiful, the many different houses accommodated our large group and each family of the 5 that went had their own space to unwind. The kitchen was beautiful and made meal prep and cooking so easy. The kida had lots to do with basketball, board games, mini pool tables, hot tub and the highlight was definitely the swimming. The water was great, warm and clear at any given time during the day and the kids had so much fun jumping off the docks, using the paddle boats and the canoes.We all had such a great time and are so thankful to Marla and Sherri-an employee who helped us when we checked in and checked out- Sherri was a great help, kind, friendly, hospitable and even recommended a different cottage with less steps for next year that I will definitely look into because it was a beautiful experience. Don’t think twice about booking your stay here my family and I loved it! – 8/04/2024

Marla’s place is fantastic. Our group of 13 had a fantastic stay and ended up being a wonderful trip. The house itself is great with a large living room meaning it never felt cramped. The hot tub, kayaks, paddleboards and basketball court all meant we had lots to do during our stay and made the whole experience extremenely enjoyable. Furthermore, Marla and her team were great hosts. They were extremely helpful and were extremely responsive to our questions. We had a such a great time! Thanks so much!! – 10/13/2023 

Marla and her team provided a fantastic retreat for our family to get together again after a couple of years without being able to travel, with great accommodation, and a wonderful hot tub with beautiful views. The dock was a great place for swimming, going on a fishing trip or just sitting and enjoying the views – we saw ospreys and bald eagles. We all enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it. – 7/30/2022 

We had a great vacation at the island cottages. Everything was as described. Our kids loved playing basketball and ping-pong and enjoyed all water activities- kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. The kitchen was modern and had everything required for a great stay. We even made ice cream in the ice cream maker. We truly enjoyed our stay! – 8/20/2021 

We were a total of 12 with a grandma, 3 kids, some friends and 2 dogs. Lots of sleeping options and a good open area in the main house for meals, playing and hanging out. Many options for fun from canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, waterskiing, tubing and just swimming. We also used the basketball court, ping pong table and hot tub.
Close enough to the marina and nice spot on the lake. Coordination was a little harder than normal with Covid but Marla and Martha were very helpful. We’d definitely go again. – 7/01/2021 

We were 9 ladies and we loved everything about the wilderness and rustic experience. Overall great experience.We loved the property & the service we got was par excellence! Couple of things to consider. 1 shower might not be enough for a larger group. Anyone coming during any months other than July August prepare yourself for cold nights. – 9/22/2020 

This was our second stay at Marla’s stunning cottage and I am still under the charm. I wanted to share with more of my friends the exceptional beauty of this place. It is quite a special place that will delight everyone. Marla is a great host and has a rock star team on-site available all day if anything is needed. The South Frontenac area and Bob’s lake are also quite fantastic and I look forward in coming back in the area again! – 9/08/2018 

We had a really great stay at the cottages on the island! What a beautiful property. Thank you for sharing it with us. We truly enjoyed the relaxation and the excellent fishing. The graduating seniors made memories to last a life time. Your cottage provided a week of connecting and memory making. We wished we could have stayed another week. Our stay at Badour was fantastic. Marla and her team made everything very simple. They really do have everything there. Great swimming, boating, views, beach around the corner. The icing on the cake for us was the basketball court and ping pong tables. Ll the kids had a blast and slept well every night! Truly awesome place! – 1/01/1970
